Cause for the Paws is committed to saving the lives of abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted animals. You can help in a variety of ways and time commitments - the following are just a few. If you believe that you can contribute your skills and expertise in areas that are not listed we would still love to here from you!!

Special Events

Cause for the Paws hosts events throughout the year to raise money, awareness and find “forever homes” for Nashville’s abandoned, neglected and homeless animals. Caring and enthusiast volunteers, just like you, are essential to the success of these important events. There is no minimum time commitment.

At the MACC shelter

You can help make a difference in an animal’s life and have fun at the same time! Whether it’s walking dogs and socializing cats, working with families looking to adopt a new best friend or helping out with clerical support, the MACC shelter needs your help. There is no minimum time commitment, but an orientation course is required for people who want to work with the animals.

Orientation for volunteers will be:

from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm
from 9:00 am until 10:30 am
